About the El Paso, Anthony and Canutillo Real Estate Market
WELCOME TO EL PASO!
We thank you for your interest in the Greater El Paso area, located at the border of Texas, Mexico, and New Mexico. The unique mix of modern America, the old west, Mexican, and Indian heritages, makes El Paso a unique city, offering much diversity both culturally and socially. The people are warm and welcoming, like the climate, which is undoubtedly one of the finest in the United States!
HOUSING IN EL PASO
From brick to stucco, contemporary to Victorian, whether it's in a new development or old neighborhood, housing is available for every taste and budget.
Six distinct areas have their own characteristics when choosing where you want to live.
CENTRAL EL PASO is the historic section of the city with beautiful old mansions dating back more than a hundred years. This part of town is close to downtown, many of the hospitals, and The University of Texas at El Paso. It extends into the foothills of the mountains where many of the older, established, tree-lined neighborhoods are. Several of the city's landmarks are in this area.
The EASTSIDE is on the northeastern side of the city and has a host of parks, schools, and various housing developments. Most of this area has easy access to the rest of the city. This is the largest part of town and offers the most shopping, dining, and entertainment establishments. Housing options range from homes built in the 1960s to brand new homes.
Pecan, chile, and onion farms pepper the LOWER VALLEY, giving it a rural feel. It extends from Interstate 10 to the Rio Grande and includes various new and old neighborhoods.
NORTHEAST El Paso is located on the eastern foothills of the Franklin Mountains and is one of the fastest growing areas of the city. New housing, entertainment, and dining establishments are sprouting up here. Ft. Bliss is located in this part of town, so it is very military friendly.
The WESTSIDE is one of the most exclusive areas of the city. It is built on the foothills of the Franklin Mountains and offers dramatic views. You'll find some of the city's most beautiful homes in this area, but you'll also find reasonably priced starter homes as well.
Nestled along the Rio Grande is the UPPER VALLEY, which is also on the west side of town. Verdant and tree-shaded because of its proximity to the river, this quiet community has a rural feel and here you'll find homes with larger lots and some with acreage.
